Furthermore the server also runs a small python script to listen for requested program ids. The Ubuntu Server (Raspbian would work too) has got a samba share for our programs. I used a Wemos D1 mini with a MAX232 and ESP-Link Firmware on the RS232 port of our Haas Mini Mill. Then the server transmitts the requested program to the machine. The Server waits for some time so that the user has some time to enter the program id and switch the machine into rs232 recv mode.
